Select the Removable Media which has lost / deleted photos that needs to be recovered and click Next Button.

If Removable Media from which photos has to be recovered is getting detected by BIOS but not in software then click on Refresh Drives Button.

Select the photo / picture file types you wish to recover or you can also select all the file types by clicking Select All button and click Next Button.

To preview the file, you can do either of the following which will display the preview of the file as shown in fig (c):

  • Double click on the file whose preview is to be seen or
  • Right click on the file whose preview is to be seen and select "Preview" option a

Note: If preview is not available this doesn't mean that file is not recoverable. There are many reasons why a file will not be shown in preview but it is still recoverable. If you need to recover a file and it fails to show the preview, you should still proceed to recover the file.

DD Recover Photo provides two options to save data:

  • Save Data to Local Drive: Select a logical drive in your local disk. Check if you want to save the data in a compressed form by checking “Compress Data” Box and click OK button.
  • Burn data to CD/DVD: Select a burning device and select drive for temporary Cache. You can save the recovered data in compress form by checking “Compress Data” option and click OK button.
